Mini el Ralf Wagner

If my own beautiful vehicle interests you, here is some additional information.

My own vehicle was built in 1989 and is a " miniel " from the " series 1 ". It has the serial number 1067.

In 1990 I was the first customer of Joachim Kamm (of Kamm solar vehicles), after I had discovered the miniel at a solar exhibition in Stuttgart.

Miniel brought me always to class, to part time job, and today to the office. I've driven almost 80,000 km

My conversion to el brought in some specialized knowledge for me, so that I repaired and tore other vehicles apart and studied with Joachim Kamm Mini el. After college, I worked at Juergen Mittnacht (JME), likewise on electric vehicles. Today my vocation no longer involves electric vehicles, it remain however still my hobby.

Ralf's mini el evolution

There have been many improvements the vehicle since the first series, and as they were developed, I integrated them into my vehicle.

So I have the current drive motor (TTL 140B), however operate I it with 48Volt. Since I modified the electrical equipment of vehicle anyway, was this no problem.

Instead of the stock battery charger of the series I, I can charge with either of two higher capacity chargers.

I modified also different details in the vehicle for me, which brought relief in the daily operation.

At a later point in time, I converted a defective upper section to the Cabrio.

Unfortunately my current job is frequently requires extra driving, beyond the comfortable range of the "el". Nevertheless I am happy about each day when I can with " el " drive into the office.
